Our Physicians

Michele Aguayo, MD, FAAFP

Dr. Aguayo is Board Certified by the American Academy of Family Physicians and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Family Medicine. She has a special interest in weight-loss management and exercise prescription.

She received her medical degree from the University of Iowa. She completed her internship and residency in family practice at St. John's Mercy Medical Center in St. Louis, where she also served as chief resident. Dr. Aguayo was a family physician and Captain with the United States Air Force at Maxwell Air Force Base in Alabama. In 1993 she joined Meridian Medical Group that later became Piedmont Physicians Gwinnett. In April of 2006 Dr. Aguayo opened Grayson Primary Care.

Dr. Aguayo is an enthusiastic proponent of preventive health care through exercise and fitness.

Sangita A. Sharma, MD

Dr. Sharma is Board Certified in Family Practice by the American Board of Family Physicians and has been a practicing Family Practice physician for eight years. Before joining Grayson Primary Care, Dr. Sharma was an Instructor of Clinical Family Medicine and a Family Practice Associate with University of Rochester-Strong Health System in Rochester, NY. Prior to that, Dr. Sharma was a Family Practice Associate with the Guthrie Clinic in upstate NY.

Dr. Sharma completed her Family Practice residency at The Guthrie Clinic-Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, Pennsylvania and a one year internship in Internal Medicine at the Bronx-Lebanon Hospital Center in Bronx, NY. She received her medical degree from Sir Salimullah Medical College in the University of Dhaka in Dhaka, Bangladesh and completed her post-doctoral internship at the Bir Hospital in Kathmandu, Nepal.

Dr. Sharma joined Grayson Primary Care in October 2006. She is originally from Nepal and is happily married with two children. Outside work she enjoys cooking, gardening and spending time with her children and family. Dr. Sharma and her family have been Grayson residents since their move to Georgia in 2005.
